In the meantime, Teams has become a fixed, familiar value in our daily operations. Within many companies, various teams and channels have sprung up like mushrooms. Perhaps too many of them: groups that are no longer used after a while or topics for which a Teams was created before. Or think of Teams that were created by colleagues who no longer work at your company. The reasons for this proliferation are diverse, but it calls for order. Administrators of the Office 365 platform Inside companies are now wondering how to oversee, channel and control this chaos and proliferation.
The cure?
As a remedy to this problem we have created GroupMGR. This tool - Fully integrated within the Office365 tenant This tool offers you a handy overview of all existing groups within Teams, SharePoint and Outlook. From this tool you can manage every group from A to Z. How? With the help of Power Automate can you computerize approval flows set up and that ensure that your employees can't just create teams from within applications like Microsoft Teams, SharePointEach request is processed via GroupMGR and goes through the established approval flow.
GroupMGR goes way beyond just useful flows, it also gives you more insights. For each group you can immediately see who owns and is a member, in which Office 365 application the group exists, whether it is a public or private group, and whether it concerns a group with internal and/or external employees. In addition, you can easily find out which stage of the approval flow each group is in. This ranges from request activation (or rejection) to inactivation and archiving.
This allows you to follow up on inactive groups automatically, by notifying the owners via a message. The group can then be reactivated or archived in a few clicks. This way, you not only keep an overview of all existing teams and groups, but you also have full control. And we go one step further.
In the first quarter of 2021 Within GroupMGR there will be a new module are launched that allow companies to templates for Teams and SharePoint sites. It even allows you to create an unlimited number of these sites. Administrators no longer have to manually create all their sites, but can manage it all centrally via GroupMGR.
